• Recommended water to coffee ratio (drip/pour over): 16:1 - 18:1. Add 16-18 grams of water for every 1 gram of ground coffee. Or 2 - 2.5 tablespoons of ground coffee for an 8oz cup of water.

History:

Although the inspiration takes you to the beautiful Honduran Caribbean, Azul really is born in the Sierras of Marcala, La Paz. At extremely high altitudes nearing 1700 mts, the beans used for Azul are produced by COMSA, a local Cooperative that stands for Organic and Fair Trade Coffee. COMSA is not just a producer of high quality Organic coffee, but they also believe that true human development can only happen through education starting at infant stages. With this vision, COMSA established its own Elementary and Middle School for their coop members. About 80% of students are sponsored by COMSA which allows farmers and producers to provide high quality and free education to their children. Every time you buy Azul, you are indirectly (or directly) sponsoring children to have a better education, and consequently a better future.
