History:
Estela is Spanish for Stelae. The Mayans in Mesoamerica masterfully sculpted steles to document and represent the history and details of their dynasties, kingdoms, and achievements. Steles are some of the most admired pieces of art in the ancient world and Copan, in Western Honduras, is home of some of the most beautifully crafted steles in the Mayan World. When Gerardo thought about a profile for a Dark roast, he wanted to represent the character and eloquent artistic capabilities of his ancestors. By combining the craftmanship of the Mayan culture and using some of the best arabica beans from Marcala in La Paz, Gerardo was able to develop this mystical and profound roast. Enjoy!
